Residual Analysis
Microbiotics Laboratory Testing is a company operating for 20 years in Laboratory Analysis in Food Control in biological matrices. The main activity of the company is the analysis of contaminating chemical residues from veterinary drugs in products from the refrigeration industry, such as biological samples, food and rations.
At the same time the Laboratory investigates, develops and validates new analytical methods for the control of contaminating residues and quality control of active ingredients of veterinary medicines.
Microbiotic Accreditations
Accreditations are an attestation of our commitment to provide quality and precision analytical results.
The Microbiotics Laboratory is accredited by various bodies such as:
CGCRE NBR ISO / IEC 17025 (INMETRO CRL-0330) ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) ISO 17025: 2017
Ractopamine
Our laboratory is accredited by INMETRO to participate in Ractopamine controls and self-controls on Cattle, Swine samples.
In service to the international market we have the lowest detection and quantification technique in the market and we offer unmatched delivery times of results with competitive prices.
The purpose of our work is to carry out PREVENTIVE controls throughout the production chain, such as analysis of the raw materials, medicines and inputs used in all stages of production. We have been active in these 20 years of activity in various solutions regarding the presence of veterinary drug residues in samples of the food chain intended for human consumption.

Sample shipment
Suggestion For Submitting Biological Matrix Samples (Liver, Kidney, Muscle).
- Sample amount: 500g, for each analysis to be performed;
- Wrap the sample in clear plastic;
- Freeze the sample next to the refrigerant (gelpack ice pack) so that both are at the same temperature;
- If it is not possible to freeze the sample, it must be shipped with the refrigerant;
- The insulation box must be of a sample size for a 500 g sample. A box of 35×23 cm and 28 cm high is sufficient;
- Identify samples correctly and in a readable manner;
- Address the box with laboratory data as per Label

Psychoactive Analysis
The Microbiotics laboratory offers psychoactive (toxicological) analyzes in urine, allowing to establish the profile of the use of these substances.
Our analysis method aims to identify the following substances:
6 – Acetylmorphine
- Amphetamine
- Benzylecgonine
- MDMA
- Morphine
- THCA
Screening Method
The screening method is intended to provide a strong indication of the presence of analytes in the samples.
They should be performed by methods accredited by international standards and will provide support and indication for conducting (when the drug is detected) confirmatory examinations that will give the verdict on the presence of substance abuse.
The great benefit of screening tests is the cost and speed of releasing the negative results safely without the need for confirmation.
There are many analytical techniques used for the purpose of screening: Immunoassays, and chromatography coupled to mass spectrometric detection. The screening performed by mass spectrometry is more conclusive.
Verification Method
Confirmation methods are generally used after screening methods have been performed which will give an unambiguous opinion on the presence of the psychotropic substance in the sample.
The analytical technique that can produce unambiguous results for this purpose is chromatography coupled with mass spectrometric detection.
All these tests must be performed by laboratories accredited to ISO 17025.
The Microbiotics Laboratory is accredited to ISO-17025 by the National Institute of Metrology, Quality Technology of Brazil (INMETRO).
Being a signatory member of ILAC and IAAC enables multilateral and mutual recognition between accreditation bodies (the so-called Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) for ILAC, and Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA) for IAAC).
